#1 Meridian Health Plan Free Snowshoeing

Discover a fun way to exercise outdoors with all of this snow on the ground!  Meridian Health Plan presents free snowshoeing!  Snowshoes are available for free in a variety of sizes for children and adults.  Snowshoeing is available in Cadillac Square.  Find this and other activities on the map.  

#2 Buick Snow Slide

The coveted attraction is returning this year and will be as exciting as ever, thanks to Buick. The Buick Snow Slide will tower 30 ft. in the air and feature three lanes traveling 200 ft. in seven seconds, offering a thrill for all ages.  Snow Slide Rides are $3.  The snow slide is a part of the Meridian Winter Experience!  Learn more here.  

#3 Radio Disney Feature: "Doc McStuffins"

Radio Disney Detroit, part of the #1 radio network for kids, tweens and families, joins in on the fun with Children’s Hospital of Michigan, part of the Detroit Medical Center (DMC) on February 8 and 9 from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. The Radio Disney Junior Road Crew will be on-site with interactive entertainment themed around the hit Disney Junior series "Doc McStuffins" including a stuffed animal and toy check-up station where kids can check their toys' height, reflexes and heart beat. Additionally, kids and families are invited to play games such as "Name That Disney Junior Song"," "Name That Doc McStuffins Character" and more.  Get the whole kids stage line-up here.

#4 Flagstar Bank Ice Garden

Beautifully carved and lighted ice sculptures again will be on display in theFlagstar Bank Ice Garden. Visitors can snap photos of their family and friends on one of two ornately crafted ice chairs, or even the ice bench.  Or, visitors can swing by the sculpture of an Eskimo family and pose in any of the four open faces for memorable pictures. On-site ice carving demonstrations will take place during festival hours on Friday to showcase the creativity and talent of local carvers. Located in Cadillac Square.  Find it on the map.  

#5 Free Skating sponsored by St. John Providence Health System

There's only one weekend you can skate for free at Campus Martius Park- Winter Blast Weekend!  Free Skating at the rink is once again sponsored in 2014 by St. John Providence Health System.  Rental Skates are available for $3.

#8 Red Wings Experience 

The Winter Blast is excited to announce a new partnership with the Detroit Red Wings and Olympia Entertainment that will bring fun, hockey-themed entertainment to this year’s festivities. For the first time, the Red Wings will have a pair of interactive hockey games, including top shot, where fans will have a chance to win prizes. #9 Great Expressions Hockey Shot Competition

The hockey activities don’t stop there: the Winter Blast is challenging festivalgoers with a Hockey Shot competition, presented by Great Expressions Dental Centers (GEDC). Throughout the weekend, attendees will have a chance to shoot and score cool prizes from Great Expressions, the Winter Blast and Detroit Red Wings. For more information click here.

#10 Winter Carnival

There's more outdoor fun at the Winter Kiddie Carnival!  This year's carnival features four outdoor games and five rides, including a Merry-Go-Round and Crocodile Coaster.  Carnival Rides are $2 each.  Find carnival rides on the map.
