#10 Dog-Sledding Exhibitions

Originally from Bay City, Michigan native Amanda Vogel now lives near the border of Canada just south of International Falls, MN.  IFalls is famously known as the Ice Box of the Nation for record low temperatures and gorgeous Rainy Lake.  Amanda has been training and racing sled dogs for nearly 10 years and is excited for the opportunity to make her third appearance at Detroit's Motown Winter Blast.  Don't worry folks, Amanda's retired lead dog and crowd favorite 'Buz' will be making the return trip to visit her Motown friends and to do some dashing around downtown Detroit!

The Snomad Racing Sled Dogs travel the US and Canada to race other teams and to enjoy the various trails, towns, and terrain.  Team Snomad's accomplishments include numerous top 5 and top ten finishes in highly competitive, professional races.  Amanda and the team has already competed this year at the White Oak Classic and the Beargrease sled dog races.  Most of Amanda's races cover a distance of 150 miles and she and the team will be taking the next step up to a 240 mile race very soon...in Michigan's spectacular UP.  Team Snomad will also be returning to Michigan's Copper Country for the CopperDog150 this year in March so mark your calendars and come cheer them on!
